2017 USAS Student Travel Awards

Three students are supported by the United States Aquaculture Society to attend the annual meeting. In 2017, following students were selected.

Sergio Castillo, of the University of Texas A&M, presented, 'Dietary leucine and isoleucine requirements of red drum Sciaenops ocellatus and the effects of excess leucine on branched-chain amino acids utilization'.

Lauren Jescovitch, of Auburn University, presented, 'Effects of aeration on water quality in waste-treatment sections of split-pond aquaculture, a three year synopsis'.

Min Ju, of the University of Texas A&M, presented, 'Effects of dietary prebiotic and probiotic supplementation on growth performance and disease resistance of hybrid striped bass Morone chrysops x Morone saxatilis in ponds'.
